‘Tis The Seasoning began somewhere between the first chill in the air and the familiar comfort of a kitchen filling with festive aromas. It wasn’t about recreating a single dish, it was about capturing that unmistakable season that brings so much fun.
That feeling is exactly what inspired ‘Tis The Seasoning - our Christmas Blend, built around the nostalgic flavours of roast dinners and long, festive meals shared with good people.
A Blend Inspired by festive Kitchens
When we started developing ‘Tis The Seasoning, we asked a simple question: What do we reach for most when cooking at this time of year?
The answer wasn’t one spice, but a symphony of tastes and sensations, warming notes, gentle sweetness, savoury depth. Spices that feel cosy without being heavy, familiar without being predictable. You catch the drift. It was that ‘yep, that slaps’ kind of feeling we were after.
We tested, tweaked, and tasted (a lot). Some versions leaned too sweet. Others felt more like baking spices than everyday seasoning. Slowly, the balance of this festive wonder revealed itself.
The inspo
This blend started with a simple idea: capturing the flavours we associate most strongly with Christmas cooking.
Think classic roast dinners. Golden potatoes. Stuffing crisping at the edges. Kitchens filled with the unmistakable scent of herbs and warmth.
Inspired by those nostalgic herby flavours, ‘Tis The Seasoning is packed with sage, rosemary and onion, the backbone of so many festive favourites. From there, we layered in maple sugar for a gentle, luxurious sweetness, and finished with mace and clove, bringing heady, wintery warmth that feels instantly seasonal without overpowering the dish.
The result is a blend that feels comforting, familiar, and just special enough to mark the occasion.
